Charcuterie Board

Wormy Chestnut wood has been extinct since 1945.   This board was harvested from an old New England barn.  The board has been soaked in "Liquid Glass" epoxy to fill both the worm holes and nail holes from its former life as a part of a barn.   The extreme age of the wood combined with the 100+ years of battle scars, gives it a uniquely rich patina which can not be duplicated on newer wood  This board was then treated 4 times with "Wood Bowl" finish from General Finishes adding a beautiful depth to the finish as well as peace of mind from this food safe treatment.  Each board is unique and only boards which exceed 10+ inches are used making each board "one piece" vs one that was glued together.   A beautiful conversation piece that will enhance any holiday.
